Chelsea-Liverpool battle for '6-goal rising star' again

Chelsea and Liverpool are ready to go head-to-head again in the transfer market.

"Chelsea and Liverpool are both chasing the signing of Asan Diao (18, Real Betis) to bolster their attacking line," Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte reported on Monday (Aug. 8).

Chelsea and Liverpool went head-to-head in the transfer market this summer. Both clubs have prioritized midfield reinforcements, which has resulted in a series of overlapping targets.

Moises Caido and Romeo Rabia are the two main targets. Liverpool were the first to make a move for Caido and Rabia, but Chelsea were the eventual winners, signing both players.

The winter transfer window is expected to be a battle for wingers. According to the report, both Chelsea and Liverpool are willing to pay Diao's buyout clause.

Diao is one of the most sought-after prospects in the world. The former Betis youth team player not only won promotion to the first team this season, but also proved his potential by scoring six goals in 14 games.

He's also showing signs of success at the first team level. Diao caught the eye of the world when he scored in back-to-back league 카지노사이트 games against Granada and Valencia.

Betis is preparing to reward him with a new contract. "Betis will offer Diao a new contract that will increase his buyout from 30 million euros to 40 million euros ($420 million) in order to ward off interest from other clubs," according to Mucho Deporte.

A move is not entirely out of the question. Betis currently have no intention of letting Diao go, but would reportedly consider monetizing a sale if there was an opportunity to maximize his transfer fee.
